In fairness we only had Maine Blueberry, chocolate and mint chocolate chip ice cream. The private feel makes you feel like the place is your own. Clean grounds, friendly staff and plenty for the kids to explore.

Great scenery at the end of the LDI bridge to enjoy while eating a fabulous meal prepared by energetic and welcoming people. Enjoyed lobster, yellow mussels, chowder and Gifford’s ice cream. Picnic tables were clean. You can get here by land or sea as they have a fairly long dock. Highly recommend!

Best seafood we had in our road trip through Maine! The employees were enthusiastic, unpretentious and friendly, our lobster and mussels were perfectly cooked and delicious, the clam chowder is amazing, and it was a fantastic view of the water while you eat.

July 2025: Outdoor tables with umbrellas and a view of the bridge are definitely the highlights. Lobster roll ($30) was good, mussels too. The negative at the time of our visit was incredibly loud screaming kids. There is a boat on the grass that excited them beyond the normal volume of play.

Had the steamed muscles, very fresh. The mussels are steamed and served with butter, a nice light lunch. Also had a chocolate shake, very good. The location is perfect, right at the foot of the Deer Island Bridge

By far the best lobster BLT I have ever had in the state of Maine!!! The whole experience was simplicity and perfection. Off the beaten path away from the craziness. I would drive another 3 hours again. The portion of the meal was just right leaving me wanting to order another one. Bravo

What a fun evening we had! Located next to the Deer Isle Bridge, we ordered our food at the shack and it was brought piping hot to our picnic table overlooking the bridge Eggemoggin Reach. We had boiled lobster, cooked perfectly, a tasty lobster roll, and good old French fries. I also tried the Apple honey soda. Highly recommend that all natural, sweet treat! My husband enjoyed his locally made root beer too.

Fantastic spot right at the bridge, best lobster I’ve had on my trip and rather affordable. Ordered it with a side of bread for a DIY roll, just perfect. Lovely people as well.
